We just got back from an amazing weekend at Dorie’s parents’ ranch near Florence, Texas. It’s wildflower season now, and between that and the beautiful weather, it was like walking around in a postcard version of Central Texas. We hiked, splashed around, and even got to have a campfire. Good times all around. Many thanks to the Burdetts for having us out.
Finally, after a couple of weeks of good rain (sorry SXSW people), there is water at Barton Creek Greenbelt for the first time in 3 or 4 years. About time. We took a few hours this morning to go splash around and take it all in. The boys came home soaking wet, filthy, and happy.
Henry’s sixth birthday party was this morning at Peter Pan Putt-Putt, and he and his friends tore that place apart. Our sincere apologies to anyone who showed up there this morning looking for a calming game of mini golf, but a big thanks to all the kids, parents, and grandparents who came to join us in wishing our boy a happy sixth.
