Family Photos

March 4, 2010

Last week, we were privileged to have our friend—professional photographer and all-around fantastic person Suzanne Koett—bring her camera to our house and snap some photos of our little family. Needless to say, we were blown away by the results. We think Suzanne did an incredible job capturing our boys’ little personalities and producing some just plain beautiful pictures. So, a thousand thanks to you, Suzanne, and to everyone else, take a look here at a few of the best shots:

Four Years Old!

February 25, 2010

In a mind-blowing tornado of gifts, sugar, and frenetic activity, our little boy turned four yesterday. He started the day by getting his brand new big boy bike, which he promptly demanded to take to the park. After the park and a shortened day at school, we had a party for Henry and his friends at an inflatable playground near us. We didn’t see a lot of Henry there. He would emerge every half hour or so from some jumphouse, sweaty, red-faced, and wild-eyed, and then disappear, shrieking. The application of cupcakes did nothing to calm him. But he and all of his friends had a lot of fun, and we think he’ll remember this birthday for some time. Or at least until next week sometime. Thanks to everyone who came to the party and/or sent our boy a gift and/or helped to make his birthday a special one.

Here’s a little recap of Henry’s big day:

Snow Day

February 23, 2010

For those of you who live in the Northeast, I know this probably seems pretty pathetic, but we got 1 whole inch of snow today in Austin. And it even stayed on the ground for a few hours. Crazy. Anyway, here’s Henry enjoying our winter wonderland and making two of the smallest, saddest snowmen you’ve ever seen. With very little to compare it to, he thought it was the coolest thing that had ever happened.
