April has brought more fun, including a few hikes, a birthday party or two, and a trip to Houston for George to meet his Great-Grandmom. We also stopped by for some playtime with the Houston cousins, who were very interested in George and his development. Here are a few pictures of the boys and their April endeavors.
Spring is the time for a lot of great things here in Austin. The Greenbelt is actually green, it’s warm enough to splash in the kiddie pool, it’s great Easter-egg hunting weather, and, of course, it’s a great time to go to the carnival. So we did all of that stuff. It’s so nice, George even learned how to smile just so he could show us how much he digs it. Happy springtime everybody.
OK, maybe that’s overselling it a bit. But March has been a lot of fun. We’ve been spending a lot of time at the park, since the weather has finally turned nice. We also went to Milo Martin Rider’s birthday party, Fin Phillips’s birthday party, and took a trip to the Zilker Park Kite Festival with Adam and Eliana. Henry and Eliana had their first ride on a public bus, and were pretty excited about it. As we walked into the festival, I tried to get Henry to stand next to a police car for a picture, but he would have none of it. He told me: “Daddy, if I stand next to it, I’m afraid they will think I’m trouble and take me to jail.” Fair enough, son. Fair enough.
